As Autumn has arrived here's a simple early-October themed tutorial for a full face and woodland-themed eyes (using one palette!).
Highlight and Contour
For the highlight I used L.A. girl pro-conceal in 'Fawn' and because I naturally have deep-set under eyes I used quite a bit under my eyes, then highlighted down my nose, the centre of my forehead, my cupid's bow and my chin. These areas are particularly highlighted because I want them to radiant when light hits the face and notice I have used a colour a few shades lighter to really give that effect.
I then added contour lines using my Bobbi Brown foundation stick in 'Espresso' which is a about two shades darker than my natural skin-tone to provide some depth and chisel out parts of my face. Key contour areas are around the forehead, the sides of the nose bridge, the cheekbones and jawline.
Then blend blend BLEND!
To make sure there are no harsh lines I use the Beauty blender to stifle the foundation into the skin and provide a seamless finish. I also found a bargain makeup stifle brush (£1.50!) in Primark which is fabulous for blending anything from liquid to powders (but that review will be for another post..). I then set the look with Ben Nye Luxury Powder in 'Banana' for the highlight and Ben Nye Translucent powder in 'Sienna' for an overall set (n.b. try not to overset the contour areas or you will lose depth).
So you're probably wondering what happened to the....
Eyebrows!
Well since I have already provided a DIY tutorial post on eyebrows I'll just give you a snippet of what I did here. The only difference is that I finally got my hands on Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade in 'Chocolate' which I must say is fabulous stuff! Its pretty unassuming on first application and a little goes a long way, but once you have neatened the brow with conceal it gives a near perfect result every time.
Completion
I completed the look using my BeautyUK eyeshadow and eyeliner palette in 'Amazon' going from gold in the inner lid, to a deep brown-bronze on the outer-lid.
